Differences Between Acne and Wart
Although acne and warts have similar appearances, they are actually two different skin problems. Although both appear as blisters on the skin's surface, their causes and treatment approaches are quite different. Here are the main differences between these two conditions:

What is Acne?
Acne usually occurs as a result of the blockage of the oil glands in the skin. Factors such as hormones, stress, wrong skin care products or genetic factors can cause acne. The blockage of pores with oil and dirt manifests itself as inflamed red spots or pus-like blisters on the skin. Although acne is most common during adolescence, it can be seen at any age.

What is a Wart?
Warts are a skin infection that is usually caused by viruses. The human papillomavirus (HPV) is the main cause of wart formation. This virus enters the cells in the skin, causes them to multiply and grow into a wart. Warts are benign growths on the skin that are hard, raised, and usually have small dots around them, and are usually seen on the hands, feet, and genital area.

Causes
While acne is mostly caused by hormonal changes, excessive oil production, and clogged pores, warts develop on the skin by being transmitted by viruses (especially HPV). Warts are contagious, meaning they can be passed from one person to another through contact. This virus is usually spread by direct contact with the skin.

Treatment Methods
Acne is usually treated with skin cleansing, topical creams, or medications. Oral medications or methods such as laser treatment can also be used for more severe cases. The treatment process varies depending on the type of acne and skin type.

On the other hand, warts can heal on their own over time if left untreated, but there is a risk of spreading if left untreated. Warts can usually be removed with topical treatment methods, freezing (cryotherapy), laser treatment, or surgical intervention.

Appearance and Symptoms
Acne usually appears on the skin as red, inflamed, or white-headed blisters. Sometimes pimples can be painful and sometimes leave scars.
Warts are harder, rougher, sometimes filled with small black dots (blood vessels). Warts are usually painless, but they can cause discomfort as they grow.

In Conclusion
Although pimples and warts are similar skin conditions, they have different causes, treatment methods and characteristics. If you are not sure which treatment method to follow when a condition occurs, it would be the best decision to get help from a dermatologist.
