What is Lip Filler Melting?

It is the process of eliminating previously injected hyaluronic acid-based filler by dissolving it with hyaluronidase enzyme. This process is usually done in cases of:

Dissatisfaction with the filler result,

Excessive fullness,

Asymmetry,

Clumping,

Or to prepare the ground for another application.

How is it applied?

A small allergy test can be done (especially if it is to be applied for the first time).

The required dose of hyaluronidase enzyme is injected into the area where the filler is located.

The filler usually dissolves within 24-72 hours.

How Long Does Its Effect Last?

The visible effect usually starts in the first 24 hours.

When the filler completely dissolves with the effect of the enzyme, the lip returns to its original state.

If there is a large amount of filler, several sessions may be required.

Things to Consider

Only hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be melted with this method.

Permanent fillers (e.g. silicone) cannot be dissolved with enzymes.

The procedure must be performed by an experienced specialist under sterile conditions.

Mild edema or bruising may occur after the application, but it is temporary.
