1. Laser Tattoo Removal
Laser treatment is the most effective and widely used tattoo removal method. Q-switched Nd:YAG laser breaks down ink particles using different wavelengths, and the body's immune system cleans these particles over time.

It is more effective on black and dark colored tattoos.

Special wavelengths are used for colored tattoos.

It usually requires a treatment period of 6-10 sessions.

2. Dermabrasion
In this method, the skin layer where the tattoo is located is abraded with a special device to reach the ink layer. However, it can be a painful procedure and carries the risk of leaving scars on the skin. Today, dermabrasion is not preferred much because the laser method is safer and more effective.

3. Chemical Peeling and Tattoo Removal Creams
In chemical peels, skin layers are peeled off using substances such as TCA (trichloroacetic acid). However, this method has a superficial effect and is not sufficient for deep tattoos. It also carries the risk of skin irritation, staining and scarring.

4. Surgical Excision (Excision)
In this method used for small tattoos, the tattooed area is surgically cut and the skin is stitched. It is not suitable for large tattoos because it can cause serious scarring.

5. Combined Treatments with Micro-Needling and Laser
The micro-needling method supports the fading of the tattoo by renewing the skin. When combined with laser treatment, it can help break down the ink particles more quickly.

The most effective and safe method in the tattoo removal process is laser treatment. Before starting the treatment, it is recommended that you consult a specialist to determine the method suitable for your skin type and the characteristics of your tattoo.
