"What is Hidradenitis suppurativa? "The disease called 'dog udder' among the people is chronic inflammation of the sebaceous and sweat glands. It especially protects closed areas where sweat glands are dense, such as under the arms, groin, and under the breasts. It first starts as small bumps resembling acne, and then painful, flowing abscesses form. It heals very hard, especially in people who have a severe disease, one passes, another starts, and when it heals, it leaves deep scars, which we call scars. We don't know exactly why. However, because of the inflammation of sweat and sebaceous glands, factors such as hormone disorders, obesity and smoking are blamed. There is also a genetic predisposition. In other words, it is more likely to occur in people with a family history of this disease. It is seen more in women. Since it is a long-term disease, it disturbs the patients very much and must be treated.
