Retinyl Palmitate: Some in vitro studies have shown that retinyl palmitate reacts with UVA and produces free radicals. However, considering the antioxidant defense systems in human skin, there is insufficient clinical data to support a photocarcinogenic risk.
Nanoparticles: Nanoparticles of substances such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are better adapted to the skin and pose less risk of irritation. Recent studies have shown that these particles do not penetrate the stratum corneum layer, i.e., they do not undergo systemic absorption.
